Browser tools, saved projects and tracked QR links have different data needs. This policy explains what is processed and how to contact us about it.
01What this policy covers
This policy describes information processed when you use QR Generator at qrgenerator.cc, including the generator, scanner, account dashboard and hosted QR destinations.
Different features handle data differently. A code generated in your browser is different from a project saved to an account or a scan that opens a tracked link. This policy covers those differences.
02Information we process
- Account information. Name, email address, profile information, sign-in credentials or connected Google account details, and session records. Sign-in and registration may also record an IP address and approximate location, including country, city, region, coordinates, timezone and internet service provider.
- Saved QR projects. The content you enter, destination links, QR type, design settings, frames, logos, images, ownership identifiers and creation or update times. Saved content is stored on the server so it can be managed and displayed.
- Scan activity. Tracked QR links record the scan time, code identifier, IP address, browser, operating system, device category, user-agent string, referring page when available, and approximate country or city. QR owners can view scan analytics for their projects.
- Download and copy activity. Where download tracking is enabled, records may include the export type, QR type, color, content length, request and device information, and account identifiers when signed in. These event records are separate from the encoded QR content.
- Event responses. If you submit an RSVP through a hosted event page, the service stores the name, email, attendance choice, guest count, dietary information and notes you provide. Only include information you want to share with the event organizer.
- Support messages. When you send us an email, we receive the message, your email address and any information you choose to include.
03Browser tools and public content
The quick QR studio renders codes in your browser. The image scanner decodes the image you select in your browser without sending that image to a scanning server. Visiting the website, saving a project, using a hosted destination or triggering a recorded download can still involve server requests.
When you save a QR project, its content and any included image or logo data may be stored with it. Generated QR artwork can be stored in Cloudflare R2 and served through a public asset URL.
QR codes are a way to share information, not a private storage system. Anyone with a code or its destination link may be able to view the associated content. Do not encode secrets or publish personal details without permission. Linked third-party websites have their own privacy practices.
04How information is used
- To sign you in, maintain your account and apply your preferences.
- To save, display, edit and deliver QR projects and hosted content.
- To report scan and download activity and understand how the service is used.
- To manage event responses, investigate errors and respond to support requests.
05Service providers and analytics
The service uses hosting, database and storage providers to operate its features. Cloudflare R2 stores generated artwork. Google processes sign-in when you choose a Google account. IP addresses may be sent to ip-api.com to obtain approximate location information for account and scan records.
The deployed website can use Vercel Analytics and, when configured, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Cloudflare Web Analytics. These services process usage or interaction information under their own terms and privacy practices. Microsoft Clarity can collect session interaction data, including session replay information.
Information may be processed where these providers operate. Contact us if you need details about a particular feature or data request.
07Retention and your choices
Saved QR projects remain available until they are deleted or the service removes them. Deleting a QR project does not necessarily remove associated scan records, event responses, logs or backup copies at the same time. No single automatic deletion period applies to all information described here.
You can manage QR projects from your dashboard. To ask about access, correction or deletion of account information, activity records or event responses, email support@qrgenerator.cc. Identify the relevant account or project without including your password. We may need information to confirm that the request concerns your data.
Data protection rights depend on your location and applicable law. Nothing in this policy removes rights you have under that law.
08Protecting your information
Use a strong, unique password and keep your account credentials private. Only upload content you are comfortable storing with the service. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
If you believe your account or a hosted QR destination has been misused, contact support with the relevant page or project identifier.
09Updates and contact
We may revise this policy as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision of this page.
For privacy questions, email support@qrgenerator.cc or use the contact page. Our terms and conditions explain responsibilities when using the service.
